Job summary

Grand Avenue Preschool in Burr Ridge, IL is seeking a Lead Teacher for our Young Preschool (2-year-old) classroom. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with compensation $20–$23 per hour based on education and experience.

• Build professional relationships with families to ensure quality care.
• Meet physical requirements and assist around small children as needed.
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs as part of the role.

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a CDA or at least 6 ECE college level credits, and the ability to pass all background checks. A plus if you havepreviouseducationexperience!

Required Shift:

Monday - Friday, full-time, 8am-5pm

MainJob Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspectsof the classroomin a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activitiesthatencourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative,and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism,and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
• Createandmaintainan environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family toprovidequality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running,and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
