Jachter Family Wines in Newberg, Oregon is seeking a Lead Tasting Room Sales Associate to elevate the guest experience at our estate tasting room. This hands-on leadership role blends hospitality with performance, owning tasting room operations, wine club conversion, and on-site events.

You are a natural host with a passion for wine, able to coach a small team, drive revenue, and maintain high service standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a tasting room, hospitality, or DTC wine sales role.
• Proven track record of driving and growing tasting room revenue.
• Valid OLCC Server Permit and Oregon Food Handler Certification.
• Experience with labor efficiency and day-to-day floor operations.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day tasting room experience with a luxury hospitality mindset, from reservation flow to guest departure.
• Assist with hiring, training, and developing a high-performing hospitality team.
• Foster a culture of ownership, warmth, and attention to detail.
• Drive tasting room revenue by coaching the team on sales and conversion.
• Track and report on key performance metrics to support tasting room goals.
• Build and manage a portfolio of private clients and collectors.

About the Role

We're growing and this growth has opened up a position on our team for a Lead Tasting Room Sales Associate to own and elevate the guest experience at our estate tasting room. This role is responsible for translating our brand ethos of quiet luxury, thoughtful craftsmanship, and genuine connection into every guest interaction.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands that exceptional hospitality is both art and discipline, where storytelling, service standards, and sales performance work in harmony. It is both hospitality-led and revenue-critical, owning tasting room performance, wine club conversion, team leadership, and the overall on-site experience.

What You Bring

• 2+ years in a tasting room, hospitality, or DTC wine sales role, ideally at a luxury or ultra-premium winery.
• Proven track record of driving and growing tasting room revenue.
• Desire to develop, lead, and grow a highly motivated tasting room sales team.
• Working knowledge of Commerce7 or a comparable CRM platform.
• Valid OLCC Server Permit and Oregon Food Handler Certification.
• Experience with labor efficiency and day-to-day floor operations.
• A hospitality style that balances warmth and personalization with sales discipline and KPI accountability.
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and work alongside your team to get results.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40+ lbs. repeatedly throughout the day.
• Full-time availability, including weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings for peak-season and release events.
• A positive, solution-oriented mindset and strong work ethic.
