Job summary

Willamette Valley Vineyards, INC. in Tualatin, Oregon, seeks a friendly Tasting Room Associate to greet guests and deliver a memorable wine tasting experience. You will describe wines, share winery history, promote wine sales and memberships, and take orders for food and wine.

Responsible team member will assist with events, maintain an organized space, support daily opening/closing procedures, and help create an inclusive, sustainable guest environment. Weekend availability required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 21 years+.
• Valid OLCC and Food Handlers Card (REQUIRED before start date if hired).
• Weekend and holiday availability.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide a memorable tasting experience.
• Describe wines, winemaking techniques and winery history through our stories, and promote wine sales and wine club memberships.
• Take food and wine orders from guests.
• Assist in serving food, supporting events, and maintaining a sustainable environment.
• Handle routine purchasing transactions, including guest account accuracy and processing of all transactions, including shipping orders.
• Perform daily opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain supply of clean polished glasses, and keep wine storage and Tasting Room organized.
• Expedite and run food to tables in absence of a food runner.
• Assist with on-site events, and monthly Pairings Dinners.
• Assist with other duties, as necessary or requested.
• Support company’s effort to create a sustainable, cross-cultural, and 'green' environment.

Our Tasting Room Associates deliver an unforgettable guest journey at through pouring wines, and promoting the sale of wine and memberships in our stunning Tualatin Estate Vineyard. We create a world-class wine tasting experience for our guests, while sharing the commitment and history of Willamette Valley Vineyards, with a consistent and impactful brand message.
