Job summary

Total Wine & More is seeking a Lead, Talent Acquisition Recruiter to join our HR team in Bethesda, MD. As a full-cycle recruiter, you will deliver best-in-class experiences for candidates and hiring managers, build strong relationships, and optimize recruitment processes across the enterprise.

You will partner with Internal Talent Acquisition, HR, and hiring managers to align talent strategies, manage pipelines, and drive efficiencies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of full lifecycle recruiting experience.
  • 3+ years experience in technology and digital staffing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with applicant tracking systems.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
  • Experience in behavioral and/or competency-based interviewing and assessments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of social recruitment.
  • Excellent relationship management and judgment skills.
  • Ability to influence without formal authority.
  • Knowledge of automated applicant/requisition tracking systems.
  • Comfortable navigating a decentralized, matrix organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support enterprise-wide talent acquisition recruitment.
  • Collaborate with Internal Talent Acquisition, HR, and Hiring Managers to align pipelines with business needs.
  • Review qualifications and develop evaluation criteria with clients.
  • Provide expert-level use of selection, assessment tools, and screening.
  • Facilitate and manage candidates through the interview process.
  • Manage candidate pipelines and ensure timely communication.
  • Provide a positive and professional candidate experience from contact to onboarding.
  • Assist in coordinating interviews and assessments for smooth processes.
  • Manage ATS data accuracy and completeness.
  • Support process improvements, SOPs, and system enhancements with stakeholders.
  • Support special projects as needed.

About the Role

Total Wine & More is seeking a Lead, Talent Acquisition Recruiter to join our Human Resources team in our Bethesda, MD office. As a full-cycle recruiter, you will be responsible for providing best-in-class experiences for both candidates and hiring managers from first point of contact through hiring. You will be responsible for maintaining positive candidate experiences across both passive and active recruiting techniques, assess talent based on the needs of the business, and employ tailored staffing techniques to deliver top talent throughout the enterprise. You will work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders, build strong relationships while navigating talent needs, and support the broader HR team with processes and optimizations as needed. You will report to the Director, Talent Acquisition.

You will
  • Support enterprise-wide talent acquisition recruitment
  • Work with Internal Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, and Hiring Manager to align talent attraction and pipeline strategies with business needs
  • Review minimum qualifications and job profiles of each position and work with clients to identify and/or develop evaluation criteria
  • Provide expert-level usage of selection, assessment tools, and screening
  • Facilitate and effectively manage candidates throughout the interview process
  • Manage candidate pipelines and ensure timely communication throughout the recruitment process
  • Provide a positive and professional candidate experience from initial contact through the onboarding process
  • Assist in coordinating interviews and assessments, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for both candidates and hiring managers
  • Manage applicant tracking system (ATS) data, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Support with initiatives that drive process improvement, building SOPs and system enhancements, and with guiding internal stakeholders
  • Support special projects as needed
You will come with
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
  • 5+ years of full lifecycle recruiting experience, with a focus on retail, corporate, technology, and executive staffing
  • 3+ years experience in technology and digital staffing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with applicant tracking systems
  • Ability to maintain an elevated level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Experience in behavioral and/or competency-based interviewing and assessments
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of social recruitment
  • Excellent relationship management and judgment skills
  • Ability to influence without formal authority
  • Knowledge of automated applicant/requisition tracking systems
