Job summary

Capstone Copper Pinto Valley seeks a Superintendent, Tailings Governance & Engineering to oversee governance, engineering integration, and performance assurance of TSFs. You will align deposition plans with design intent, EOR requirements, and the site TMS, providing oversight of deposition strategy, QA/QC, and monitoring.

This is a leadership role coordinating with Tailings Engineering and Operations. The position requires strong leadership, 15+ years in tailings or related operations, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in civil/geotechnical/mining engineering or related field.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience leading field-based teams in mining or heavy industry.
• Proficiency with SAP or similar work management systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and plans.

Responsibilities

• Governance of Tailings Management System (TMS) and GISTM alignment.
• Coordinate with EOR to incorporate design intent into site plans.
• Lead deposition planning across short-, medium-, long-term horizons.
• Oversee QA/QC, monitoring, and performance verification.
• Provide technical guidance to operations and engineering teams.
• Manage MOC processes and risk controls for tailings systems.
• Coordinate with water management and environmental teams.
• Lead safety, compliance, reporting, and budget activities.
