Job summary

S1 Technology is seeking a System Administrator to lead onboarding for clients and manage complex tech environments. You will configure servers, networks, security, and cloud services, while documenting processes for smooth handoffs to MSP support.

The role emphasizes project coordination, risk management, and continuous process improvement. Ideal candidates have an strong IT foundation, hands-on expertise across Microsoft 365, virtualization, and cloud platforms, plus excellent communication

Qualifications

Associate's or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Extensive background experience with system administration, network administration, or similar roles.
Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft 365 Administration including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Hybrid Identity Architecture.
Strong understanding of networking principles and experience managing network infrastructure.
Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and managing cloud-based infrastructure.
Knowledge of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions and scripting/automation tools.

Responsibilities

Lead end to end onboarding for new clients: assess their current environment, document systems, and implement S1's standard stack.
Plan and execute technical onboarding tasks, including server and network configuration, user setup, security hardening, and cloud service activation.
Own project timelines for onboarding and other technical initiatives, coordinating with sales, account management, and vendors.
Translate business needs into project plans and technical tasks, then follow through on configuration, testing, and documentation.
Run project status check-ins with internal stakeholders, capturing risks and adjusting scope or timelines.
Create and maintain clear documentation for every project and onboarding, including network diagrams, asset lists, and SOPs.
Identify opportunities to improve clients' security, reliability, and user experience, and recommend upgrades.
Standardize and continually improve onboarding and project processes for faster, smoother client experiences.
