Job summary

Technology Advancement Group (TAG) seeks a Principal Systems Integration and Test Engineer in Ashburn, VA. You will report to the Technical Director and work across hardware, software, and test engineering to build, install, test, and troubleshoot prototype systems.

Responsibilities include developing tests, integrating platforms, analyzing data, and delivering detailed reports. Occasional travel and customer demonstrations are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Hardware and software troubleshooting experience.
• Proficient with test equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and multimeters.
• Comfortable navigating a Linux environment including command line, scripting, and debugging utilities.
• Strong root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills.
• Comfortable presenting to groups and customers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in simulated and real environments.
• Support hardware buildup, install software and firmware, test, troubleshoot, and document builds.
• Install software and hardware on prototype systems to test and validate features.
• Plan and execute platform integration across military equipment.
• Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues with data analysis and debugging.
• Collect and analyze data to ensure system performance and provide test reports.
• Create and modify test procedures, reports, bug tickets, and other documentation.
• Coordinate across engineering groups, customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Occasional travel for offsite testing and demonstrations.
