Job summary

Amazon Leo for Government (ALG) Engineering seeks a Systems Engineer to lead integration and verification across satellite and ground segments. You will work with a cross-disciplinary team to ensure design maturity, testability, and customer impact while maintaining security clearances and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes ownership, collaboration, and rapid problem solving in a fast-paced environment within the ALG Engineering organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in space vehicle, bus, RF payload, optical payload, or ground terminal integration and test.
• Experience in space and ground systems engineering principles including budgets, requirements flow-down, verification, and validation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary concept development, trade studies, CONOPS definition, requirements decomposition and allocation.
• Define interfaces and verify requirements across space and ground segments.
• Lead integration and test activities, issue resolution, and risk management.
• Develop and optimize satellite system designs and subsystems.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure program goals are met.
• Support software-to-hardware integration and mission operations testing.
