Job summary

KGS LLC is seeking an ALG Mission Operations Engineer for the Amazon Leo For Government program in California. The role focuses on end-to-end operational health and performance of spacecraft, coordinating with Ground Software, Flight Software, and HITL teams to improve automation and reliability.

Responsibilities include planning and monitoring operations across mission phases, developing CONOPS, and implementing automation tools to support mission workflows.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in spacecraft mission operations, with understanding of C&D, TT&C, power and propulsion.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for on-orbit anomalies.
• Experience with automated testing of operational procedures using Hardware-In-The-Loop (HITL).
• Active or ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and monitor spacecraft operations across all mission phases (LEOP to end-of-life).
• Develop and maintain CONOPS knowledge of spacecraft bus, subsystems, and payloads.
• Design and participate in mission rehearsals.
