Job summary

Avalore, LLC in Arlington, VA is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee all systems engineering and design activities for the WDP System. You will prepare and execute the System Engineering Plan (SEP), coordinate between engineering teams, and translate customer requirements into architecture while representing the engineering team in the ECB.

You will establish engineering standards, lead technical reviews, analyze performance metrics, and manage technical risks across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Security clearance (SECRET) or eligible
• US work authorization without sponsorship
• Excellent English communication
• Experience across systems engineering disciplines

Responsibilities

• Oversee all systems engineering and design activities for the WDP System.
• Prepare, maintain and execute the System Engineering Plan (SEP).
• Coordinate between engineering teams and translate customer requirements into system designs.
• Represent the engineering team in the Engineering Control Board (ECB).
• Establish engineering standards and best practices for the program.
• Lead technical reviews to assess design progress and integration.
• Analyze system performance metrics and recommend improvements.
• Manage technical risks across the lifecycle.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster knowledge sharing across engineering disciplines.
