Job summary

Ignite Digital seeks a highly experienced Lead Systems Engineer to support a US Navy/US Marine Corps program office in the National Capital Region. This onsite role leads system design, integration, testing, documentation, configuration management, and technical oversight for complex naval and Marine Corps systems.

The Lead Systems Engineer coordinates multi-disciplinary tasks and guides junior engineers. The position requires a Master's or equivalent, active clearance, and strong collaboration

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in a related field; DoD experience preferred.
• Extensive systems engineering across lifecycle, DoD/navy/marine corps experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance and ability to work onsite in NCR.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate system development including design, integration, and validation testing.
• Oversee transitions from development to production and ensure compliance.
• Develop and maintain system specifications and programmatic documentation.
• Manage baselines, traceability, and version control across the program.
• Supervise and mentor junior Systems Engineers and engage government counterparts.
