Job summary

DCS seeks a Principal Systems Engineer to support the C3BM division at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The role requires deep DoD systems engineering expertise and an active TS clearance.

You will work within MITs to translate requirements, design architecture, and ensure sensor-to-shooter interoperability across services and coalitions. Responsibilities include risk assessment, acquisition lifecycle support, TE strategy development, and collaboration with DoD and S&T teams to deliver integrated

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 12 years related experience, 5 of which must be in the DoD.
• Active TS security clearance required.
• Experience with DoD acquisition life cycle and system engineering processes.

Responsibilities

• Aligned to one of five Mission Integration Teams (MITs) at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.
• Translate operational requirements into technical requirements through Operational Analysis.
• Design capability architecture ensuring integration/interoperability with DAF C3BM enterprise.
• Assess risk and work with S&T community to mitigate where needed.
• Deliver capability requirements to the Acquisition Community; develop Test and Evaluation strategies.
• Serve as MIT system-of-systems architecture designer; review DoD models and plan migration to future state.
• Drive interconnectivity between PEOs and weapon systems; capture as-is and to-be states.
• Engage joint and coalition partners to connect sensors to shooters across services.
• Identify and mature innovative concepts meeting AF needs via analytics and modeling; provide clear documentation.
