Job summary

Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer to orchestrate a multi-disciplinary team and manage an infrastructure that integrates internal and external tools with GOTS/COTS hardware across classification levels.

You will steer requirements, balance resources and timeliness, and promote sound SES and software development practices while coordinating with end users and stakeholders across projects.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent experience in systems engineering responsibilities.
• 5+ years of systems engineering experience with SDLC, hardware infra, software methods.
• Experience with Linux- and Windows-based systems, data visualization, big databases.
• Strong multitasking, prioritization, and deadlines; excellent communication.
• Willingness to participate in tests at sponsor or customer sites.
• Active Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility and US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate an internal team to develop and maintain an infrastructure with tools, hardware and multiple classification levels.
• Lead development of holistic engineering solutions balancing resources and priorities.
• Assist program management with technical project planning and good engineering practices.
• Maintain systems and processes for data processing and grooms for Fleet events.
• Collaborate in planning and executing system performance assessment events.
• Advise teams to ensure appropriate test scope and analysis requirements.
