The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory is seeking a Software Development Engineer to research and develop concepts for critical military operational shortfalls, focusing on sensor data exploitation, real-time processing, and visualization.

You will design and implement proof-of-concept prototypes across software, signal processing and AI, support evaluations, and help transition capabilities to government or industry.

Formación

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Completed coursework or internships involving complex software development including object oriented programming, databases, AI, data visualization, and UIs.
• Ability to travel and work at government facilities, including Navy ships/aircraft.
• Candidate must be able to obtain Interim Secret and ultimately final Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsabilidades

• Research and develop concepts to address critical military operational shortfalls as part of an established team.
• Perform system design and software development for proof-of-concept prototypes across software, AI, data visualization, and real-time computing.
• Support prototype evaluation and transitions of capabilities to government or industry.
