Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer in Waco, TX to drive requirements, design, test, and integration for advanced avionics on a militarized platform. Translate customer needs into verifiable system requirements and architect solutions across ground and airborne domains.

You will develop CONOPS, perform trade studies, and present complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders while collaborating with customers, subcontractors, and DoD environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Software, Physics, etc. and 9+ years related work experience.
• Graduate Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Software, Physics, etc. and 7 years of related experience
• In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of related experience.
• Must be a US Citizen
• Must have active TS/SCI Clearance

Responsibilities

• Translate customer needs into verifiable system/subsystem level requirements.
• Write system/subsystem requirements specs.
• Develop system CONOPS and use cases.
• Develop system architectures for SILs and airborne systems.
• Define requirement traceability methods.
• Perform systems engineering trade studies.
• Prepare presentations for technical and non-technical professionals.
• Be focal point for conversations with customers on technical issues.
