Job summary

AMD is seeking a Lead System Validation Engineer - AI Rack Validation to join the post-Si debug team working on next-generation AMD EPYC Server and Instinct products. You will drive system-level validation strategies, mentor engineers, and collaborate across architecture, hardware, firmware, software, and platform teams to ensure high-quality, scalable validation solutions.

You will define validation plans for CPU, GPU, memory, BIOS, BMC, networking, storage, and infrastructure components, and

Qualifications

Extensive experience in validation roles involving debugging OS, FW, Silicon, and HW issues.
Strong knowledge of standard buses and software stacks such as PCIe and CXL.
Deep understanding of X86 architecture, SoC design, memory and power management.

Responsibilities

Lead system-level, rack-level, and cluster-scale validation strategy for AI server platforms.
Define and drive validation plans across scale-up and scale-out environments.
Develop validation methodologies spanning CPU, memory, BIOS, firmware, networking, storage and OS layers.
Collaborate with architecture, hardware, firmware, software, and platform teams to define requirements and close gaps.
Drive root cause analysis of complex hardware, firmware, software, networking issues.
Lead validation data analysis to identify failures, bottlenecks, and readiness concerns.
Mentor engineers to improve validation methods, automation, and debugging skills.
