Job summary

Powell is seeking a Lead Assembler to oversee and coordinate the assembly process of products in a manufacturing environment. The role includes supervising a team of assemblers, ensuring production targets and quality standards are met, and participating in training new staff.

The incumbent will lead continuous improvement projects, collaborate with engineering and QA, and drive timely completion of jobs while maintaining safety and compliance with Powell policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED.
• 8 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Proficient in blueprint reading and spec sheets.
• Experience with Oracle, MES, True View systems.

Responsibilities

• Train employees and assist in new hire training plans.
• Communicate and delegate daily priorities to the team.
• Release jobs to QA/QC and review BOMs/drawings for issues.
• Lead Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects.
• Support safety and quality meetings and ISO adherence.
• Mentor a team of assemblers and ensure on-time delivery.
