Job summary

A local swimming instruction center is seeking a passionate Lead Swim Instructor in Round Rock, Texas. In this role, you'll teach swimming skills to children aged 4 months to 10 years while ensuring their safety and promoting a positive learning environment. Previous swim instruction experience is preferred, but training is available. Enjoy flexible scheduling and competitive pay as you help children develop their swimming abilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in swim instruction preferred.
• Certification assistance provided for CPR and First Aid.
• Ability to teach children from 4 months to 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming skills using the Streamline Brands curriculum.
• Provide feedback on students' swimming efforts.
• Ensure swimmer safety and maintain teaching standards.

What will you do as a Lead Swim Instructor?

• Teach swimming skills according to Streamline Brands curriculum in a fun, positive manner
• Provide continuous, positive corrective feedback on swimming efforts
• Structure class time to include repetition, reinforcement, and skill introduction
• Ensure swimmer safety
• Maintain teaching standards aligned with SafeSplash guidelines
• Observe children's skills and track attendance as a deck coach
• Support SafeSplash events with an energetic personality

What are we looking for in a Swim Instructor?

• Previous swim instruction experience preferred; training available
• WSI certification preferred
• Current American Red Cross CPR-PR/AED, First Aid for adults, swimmers, and infants preferred; certification assistance provided within 60 days of hire
• Experience teaching children ages 4 months to 10 years and those with special needs is a plus
