Job summary

A swim instruction organization is seeking a Swim Instructor in Round Rock, Texas. You will teach swimming skills to children while ensuring safety and providing positive feedback. Previous swim instruction is preferred, yet training will be provided. Candidates with WSI certification and CPR-PR/AED qualifications are preferred. A flexible schedule and opportunity for advancement are also offered. Join us in promoting water safety and skill development among kids!

Qualifications

• Experience with swim instruction is preferred; training available.
• WSI certification is preferred but not required.
• Certification in CPR-PR/AED and First Aid is preferred; help to obtain within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming skills in a fun and positive manner.
• Provide positive corrective feedback to swimmers.
• Structure class time for skill introduction and reinforcement.
• Ensure swimmer safety during classes.

What will you do as a Swim Instructor?

• The main focus of a swim instructor is to teach swimming skills in accordance with Streamline Brands curriculum in a fun, positive manner
• Provide continuous, positive corrective feedback to students and customers on their swimming efforts
• Structure class time appropriately to incorporate repetition, reinforcement, and introduction of required skills
• Ensure swimmer safety

What are we looking for in a Swim Instructor?

• Previous swim instruction is preferred but we are happy to train you
• WSI certification preferred
• Current American Red Cross CPR-PR/AED, First Aid for adult, swimmer and infant preferred but we will help you get certified in 60 days of hire
• Special consideration given to instructors with experience teaching swimmers age 6 months to 10 years and Special Needs.
