Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Hickory, NC seeks a Project Manager to provide overall management and direction for surveying projects, including client interface, project scoping, scheduling, procurement, cost control, and progress reporting.

The role oversees field personnel, ensures QA/QC, and coordinates with CAD Technicians to deliver accurate, on-time results for clients. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Professional Land Surveyor preferred or eligible to obtain within one year.
• Must be SIT or CST IV.
• 2-year degree in Surveying, Engineering or 4-year degree in Engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with MicroStation is required to support FDOT projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all survey activities (conventional, GPS, Laser Scanning).
• Develop project scope through client negotiation and define project details.
• Prepare bids and estimates aligned with profit objectives.
• Create a comprehensive project scope document for communication with team.
• Ensure QA/QC of final product before submission to client.
• Submit RFPs on time and align estimates with objectives.
• Organize post-project meetings to review performance and costs.
• Lead client and field coordination and training as needed.
• Read and interpret engineering plans and construction documents.
