ESP Associates, Inc. is seeking a Survey Project Manager in Huntersville, NC to oversee surveying projects and lead the survey group both in the field and in the office. This role manages field crews, coordinates with clients and officials, and drives project success from planning to execution.

The position emphasizes management of contracts, proposals, and coordination of schedules, with a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and effective communication across teams.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in North Carolina preferred.
• “3+ years of progressive surveying management experience in residential/commercial development”
• Experience with Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Trimble field equipment; strong field and office skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access; familiarity with Google Earth is a plus.
• Ability to pass drug screen and background check; clean driving record per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee surveying and geomatics group (field and office) including crews and staff.
• Initiate and maintain contact with key personnel and officials of organizations and companies.
• Plan, organize and supervise survey crews, technicians and other staff.
• Administer contracts, manage projects, and coordinate assignments to meet deadlines.
• Develop surveying projects addressing complex or controversial problems with innovative approaches.
• Prepare proposals for potential projects and assist with monthly billing reviews.
• Review and approve weekly timesheets.
