Job summary

Synectics Inc. in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an experienced Senior Survey Party Chief to lead field crews on boundary, topographic, ALTA and construction staking projects.

You will interpret plans and staking reports, ensure precise data collection with Trimble equipment, and mentor junior crew members. You will collaborate with project managers and clients, maintain field notes, and uphold high standards of quality and safety.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of land surveying field experience (leadership experience preferred).
• Proficient with Trimble equipment and Trimble Access workflows.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Ability to work outdoors in all conditions and lift 50+ lbs.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead 1-2 person field crews on a variety of projects: Boundary, Topographic, ALTA, Construction Staking, and more
• Interpret plans, legal documents, and staking reports with clarity and confidence
• Ensure accurate and timely data collection using Trimble equipment and internal software systems
• Train and mentor junior crew members, promoting high standards of quality and professionalism
• Maintain thorough field notes and communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and internal teams
