Job summary

UMC Health System is seeking a Supervisor, Surgical Technicians to direct and perform activities related to instrumentation, sterilization, and supplies used in the operating room.

The role involves leading Surgical Technicians, managing staffing and engagement, and ensuring proper OR support from pre to post-op. Candidates should have a surgical technologist background and leadership experience in healthcare.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• +2 years of leadership experience in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN in the operating room as directed.
• Lead Surgical Technicians on staffing, performance management, coaching, corrective actions, and employee engagement.
• Support pre and post op room activities including cleaning, testing equipment, scrub procedures, and assisting clinical staff inside the operating room.
• Ensure adequate staff coverage on each shift.
• All other assigned duties related to surgical technologist roles and responsibilities.
