Job summary

Advocates for Life Skills & Opportunity (ALSO) in Portland, OR, seeks compassionate direct support professionals to help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities lead fuller lives. You will work closely with the Manager, providing hands-on support, coordinating health tasks, documenting care, and helping train teammates.

The role requires completing required screenings, reliable transportation, and adherence to Oregon rules; pay is $20.25-$21.75 per hour at the Portland Main

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to organize tasks and follow procedures.
• Clear, respectful communication with people supported and staff.
• Attention to documentation, confidentiality, and follow-through.
• Commitment to respecting choices, dignity, and independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals and follow their Individual Support Plans.
• Coordinate appointments, transportation, and health-related records.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure confidentiality.
• Help train and support staff on plans, equipment, and procedures.
• Work shifts and respond to on-call as assigned.
