Job summary

Community Access Services is seeking a Program Lead to guide our residential program in The Dalles, Oregon. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll mentor Direct Support Professionals and help create a safe, empowering home for adults with IDD.

This full-time position in Portland offers competitive pay, predictable scheduling, paid training, and a collaborative management team dedicated to employee success.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with IDD or working as a DSP.
• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to become an approved company driver.
• Ability to pass a national background check.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and assist individuals with mobility needs.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting, person-centered relationships that respect each individual's dignity, choices, and independence.
• Support daily living activities, including personal care, hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Encourage participation in community outings, recreation, appointments, employment, and personal goals.
• Help individuals build confidence, develop life skills, and achieve greater independence.
• Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation.
• Create a clean, safe, welcoming, and supportive home environment.
• Mentor and serve as a positive role model for Direct Support Professionals.
• Advocate for the rights, choices, and well-being of the individuals in your care.
• Help support the daily operations and overall success of the residential program.

Community Access Services is looking for a compassionate, experienced, and motivated Program Lead to help guide our residential program in The Dalles, Oregon. In this hands-on role, you'll continue doing what you love—supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)—while mentoring fellow Direct Support Professionals and helping create a safe, supportive, and empowering home.
