Job summary

GT Independence in Maryland seeks a Support Broker Team Leader to coordinate the daily operation of Medicaid Waiver services and promote independent living for participants.

You will supervise a team of support brokers, maintain compliance, build community partnerships, and train staff on employer of record budgets and participant-directed supports to ensure high quality service delivery.

Qualifications

• Meet the DHCF requirements for a waiver case manager and hold current licensure.
• Advanced degree in social sciences or nursing; or RN with related experience; or bachelor with two years’ experience.
• Minimum two years of management or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage day-to-day operations for a team of support brokers and carry a caseload as appropriate.
• Ensure program rules are followed and operational metrics are achieved.
• Promote personal growth and independence of participants through training and supervision of staff.
• Develop and maintain relationships with agency staff and other providers.
• Provide training on Individual and Family Directed supports (Employer of Record Model).
• Coordinate services with the financial Support Services provider for self-directed participants.
• Guide recruitment, hiring, training, evaluating, and adjustments of staff for self-directed services.
• Assist with scheduling, staff duties, and documentation requirements.
