Job Title: Production Services Specialist - Low Latency Electronic Trading

Role Description
  • Monitor and support Nomura's real‑time low latency trading environment, including FPGA‑based systems, DMA, algorithmic and smart order routing platforms.
  • Support high‑frequency co‑located trading environments, focusing on the full architecture stack including FPGA cards, feed handlers, and exchange connectivity.
  • Perform pcap file analysis to troubleshoot latency issues and validate message flows.
  • Conduct daily health checks on critical systems, automate and configure real‑time monitoring solutions.
  • Provide rapid response and resolution to incidents affecting production trading systems.
  • Utilize latency monitoring tools (Corvil / Pico) to identify, measure, and resolve performance issues.
  • Liaise between clients, front‑office and development teams for quick escalation and resolution.
  • Act as a production change gatekeeper, managing and deploying changes, including configuration and software releases.
  • Analyze logs and monitoring tools to identify and resolve system issues.
  • Maintain and develop strong documentation such as runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and system configuration.
  • Implement and support exchange connectivity, bringing up new gateways, connections, and market data feeds/protocols.
Essential Qualifications
  • Ability to work well under pressure with a sense of urgency and strong teamwork skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, bridging technology and front‑office teams.
  • Understanding of high‑frequency and low‑latency trading practices, including FPGA‑based infrastructure.
  • Experience supporting FPGA cards in a production environment (deployment, troubleshooting, monitoring).
  • Strong knowledge of exchange connectivity protocols and market data feeds (ITCH, OUCH, Pillar, ARCA, multicast).
  • Experience with pcap analysis and network packet inspection tools.
  • Familiarity with latency measurement and monitoring tools (Corvil / Pico).
  • Strong understanding of U.S. securities markets, order lifecycle, and FIX protocol.
  • Proficiency in Unix environments.
  • Good understanding of networking principles.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (Shell, Python).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Elastic).
  • Exposure to OMS and EMS platforms.
Benefits and Compensation

Base pay of $120,000 to $140,000 annually. Additional compensation may include a sign‑on bonus, restricted stock units, discretionary awards, and commissions for applicable sales roles. Benefits include 401(k) eligibility, medical, financial, and other benefits, paid time off (vacation, sick time, parental leave), and more. Benefits details will be provided upon offer.

If hired in the U.S., the employee will be in an ‘at‑will’ position, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary and other discretionary payments at any time.
