Job summary

Miebach Consulting is seeking a Supply Chain Engineering professional to support the design and delivery of innovative supply chain solutions across North America. You will lead engineering workstreams, develop facility concepts, and collaborate with client stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

You will evaluate automation technologies, perform capacity analyses, and contribute to business cases and investment analyses. Travel up to 40–60% is required as part of client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in supply chain engineering, distribution, automation, manufacturing, or consulting.
• Experience designing or improving warehouses, distribution centers, or material handling operations.
• Experience evaluating warehouse automation and material handling solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, client-facing, and project management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and engineering analysis tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 40–60%.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering workstreams for supply chain consulting and implementation projects from initiation to implementation planning.
• Develop warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, and logistics facility concepts and layouts.
• Perform operational assessments, process analysis, capacity evaluations, and future-state design activities.
• Develop labor models, throughput calculations, storage strategies, slotting concepts, and material flow analyses.
• Evaluate automation technologies including ASRS, AMRs, conveyors, sortation, robotics, and warehouse execution technologies.
• Support facility design activities from concept development through implementation planning.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical documentation, design recommendations, and executive-level presentations.
• Develop business cases and investment analyses to support operational and automation initiatives.
• Lead client engagements and manage project scope, schedules, and deliverables.
