Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer in Acton, MA. You will develop and implement quality assurance programs for major projects and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Responsibilities include supplier risk analysis, supplier assessments, review of compliance documentation, management of SCARs, and driving corrective actions with suppliers and internal teams. Requires a engineering degree and 5+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or related discipline.
  • Five or more years of related experience with a bachelor's degree or three or more years with a master's degree.
  • Detailed understanding of inspection methods and computer operations.
  • Ability to analyze complex quality issues and present solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Supplier risk analysis and mitigation planning.
  • Conduct supplier assessments during onboarding and QA programs.
  • Review and approve product compliance documentation.
  • Validate procurement quality requirements with suppliers.
  • Manage SCAR process and drive corrective actions.
  • Identify design or manufacturing changes to improve quality and reduce costs.
  • Develop methods for inspecting and testing equipment and products.
  • Audit supplier quality management systems and recommend improvements.
  • Interface with suppliers, customers, and regulatory personnel; present technical results.
