Job summary

Zoox seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to drive world‑class performance across prototype and production supply bases. You will collaborate with Vehicle Systems Engineering, Engineering, and Strategic Sourcing to ensure design for manufacturability and supplier readiness.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in Supplier Quality or manufacturing, strong technical inspection knowledge, and experience with APQP/PPAP, PFMEA, and ISO/IATF quality systems. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years in Quality, Supplier Quality, or Manufacturing in automotive/aviation/medical devices.
• Experience with core process control tools: PFMEA, SPC, MSA, CP/CPK.

Responsibilities

• Assess manufacturability of new designs with Vehicle Systems Engineering.
• Select suppliers with appropriate know‑how after supplier process audits.
• Review CAD models and prints for manufacturability and assist in new manufacturing methods.
• Lead the Supplier Industrialization Roadmap (SIR) and qualification activities at supplier sites.
• Drive APQP/PPAP and PPAP submissions through SOP.
• Lead RCCA analyses and implement containment and corrective actions.
• Analyze supplier part quality metrics and conduct capability studies.
