Job summary

Linbeck Group in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Superintendent I to plan and manage our construction site, ensuring safety, quality, and contractual obligations are met. You will direct Company and subcontractor personnel, coordinate with the Job Team, and oversee sequencing on projects potentially spanning $5M–$100M+.

The role requires a strong background in commercial construction, Lean Construction, and field supervision as a lead superintendent on ground-up work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, required
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or Business, preferred
• Minimum of 8 years of commercial construction experience, required
• Minimum of 6 years of field supervision as a lead superintendent for a ground-up General Contractor, required
• Experience in healthcare, K-12, higher education, or cultural venues projects is a plus
• Construction contract experience with CM@R, Design-Build, and/or IPD is preferred
• Demonstrated success implementing and managing project safety programs, required
• Proficient with Lean Construction tools and management style, required
• Proficient with scheduling software, required

Responsibilities

• Develop a Safety Culture with Subcontractors by facilitating the BBS program in coordination with the Job Team.
• Analyze, document and address Safety Hazards through Safety Walks in coordination with the Job Team.
• Review JHAs for completeness and accuracy daily for all trades on site.
• Manage Field Labor for the project including facilitating the hiring and termination process.
• Develop the Master Baseline Schedule with clear logic and accurate activity durations in coordination with Job Team.
• Develop Site Utilization, Logistics and Phasing Plans during Preconstruction for GMP creation and ongoing updates.
• Utilize Lean Board tools to visually manage constraints in productivity and coordinate with all team members.
• Facilitate Daily Huddles and Weekly Work Plans to organize tasks and hold teams accountable.
• Complete PPCs weekly utilizing Lean Board Tools and create recovery plans as needed.
• Generate Daily Reports for Linbeck and Self-Perform units and ensure timely submission from subs.
• Coordinate preconstruction and kickoff meetings to align job requirements with subcontractors.
• Create and maintain SWPPP plans, documentation, permits and measures.
• Use Autodesk Build Issues and Checklists to manage QA/QC with subs.
• Oversee AHJ inspections and manage approvals with a tracking matrix.
• Review subcontracts for scope boundaries and verify hours, quantities, and pricing.
• Manage Self-Perform labor with accurate cost coding and productivity reporting.
• Plan labor requirements and participate in coordination meetings.
• Leverage LAT Technologies for field productivity and project documentation.
• Navigate BIM models to assist in visualization and quality control.
