Job summary

Clark Group is seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations on complex commercial projects in the Baltimore area. You will oversee self-performed and subcontracted work, ensuring compliance with contract documents and the project schedule while promoting safety and quality.

This role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication across stakeholders, and the ability to develop and maintain project schedules, manage logistics, and mentor a high-performing team on site.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience on large-scale commercial construction projects.
• Experience building high-rise, mixed-use, or higher education projects.
• 2+ years leading, developing, and motivating teams.
• In-depth knowledge of scheduling, contract administration, equipment and personnel.
• Experience leading field operations and communicating plans across audiences.
• Knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee timely and quality installation of contracted work on a project or scope.
• Implement safety and quality culture among Clark employees and trade contractors; conduct regular inspections.
• Create and manage plans to sequence work, manage jobsite logistics, and track materials and personnel.
• Ensure high quality of work consistent with standards and schedule.
• Deliver projects on schedule and on budget with initiative and responsibility.
• Develop, update, and communicate project schedule and milestones to stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop team members to build a high-functioning team.
• Cultivate relationships with project stakeholders and represent the company professionally.
• Understand owner contracts, subcontracts, and vendor agreements; participate in cost and KPI management.
• Participate in close-out activities including punch lists and building operations training.
