Gilbane Building Company is seeking a Superintendent to independently supervise commercial and healthcare construction in New York City. The role leads trade partners, manages safety, quality, and schedule on projects valued up to $30M, with a strong focus on collaboration and delivering on-time results.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management, OSHA 30, STS-C, and 4–8 years of relevant experience on large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent
• OSHA 30-hour certified
• STS-C Certification
• First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed Training
• Equivalent education/experience acceptable

Responsabilités

• Directs day-to-day coordination of trade partners and subs to meet project schedule
• Develops and communicates the work plan for field changes
• Maintains understanding of contract documents to anticipate problems
• Participates in constructability reviews and assesses change impacts
• Ensures subcontractors obtain necessary permits
• Acts as primary safety representative in the field
• Leads contractor meetings and maintains daily reports
• Manages project schedule and contingency plans
