Job summary

Hydrostor is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager – Subsurface / Underground to oversee underground projects with a focus on contractor management and subsurface construction engineering. You will lead project teams, manage subcontractors, and collaborate with engineering to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role reports to the Execution Director, Sub Surface Facilities, and requires 8–10 years of experience in major subsurface infrastructure or mining projects, with a strong

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of project management experience in subsurface infrastructure or mining.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Mining engineering, construction management, or related field.
• CCM and/or PMP certification is an asset.
• Strong civil, structural and geotechnical background.
• Proven experience leading project teams and contractors.
• Knowledge of EPC delivery strategy and best practices.
• Excellent risk management and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with project management software and tools (e.g., Procore).

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary project teams to achieve milestones and objectives.
• Oversee EPC phases and coordinate activities for seamless execution.
• Champion the use of PMIS tools (Procore) throughout project execution.
• Review drawing revisions and communicate changes to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering to address technical issues and meet specs.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage subcontractors, contracts, and performance.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets; manage change control.
• Ensure safety compliance and quality control across underground works.
• Coordinate geotechnical focus across subsurface projects.
