Job summary

Hydrostor is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager - Subsurface/Underground to lead underground projects, manage subcontractors, and coordinate with engineering from concept to completion.

The role focuses on geotechnical work, shaft sinking, mining coordination, EPC oversight, PMIS (Procore), risk management, and budget/schedule control. Travel 30–50%, hybrid work three+ days in office; salary range $160,000-$200,000 with benefits.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of PM experience in major subsurface infrastructure or mining projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mining Engineering, construction management, or related field.
• CCM and/or PMP certification is a plus.
• Strong civil, structural, and geotechnical background.
• Proven leadership of project teams and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and manage subcontractors to meet milestones.
• Oversee EPC phases and ensure seamless project execution.
• Utilize PMIS (Procore) for project execution.
• Review and manage drawing revisions.
• Collaborate with engineering to address technical issues.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage internal teams and contractor performance.
• Oversee subcontractor relationships and negotiations.
• Develop and maintain schedules and budgets; manage change control.
• Implement quality control processes; address geotechnical aspects.
• Oversee shaft sinking and mining coordination.
• Ensure safety compliance.
• Maintain project documentation and reporting.
