Job summary

WSP seeks a Lead Substation Project Engineer for Boise, ID, or Hailey, ID, with onsite, hybrid, or remote work depending on location and business needs. The role focuses on leadership across due diligence, design, and construction of utility-scale substations.

Responsibilities include overseeing electrical infrastructure design, permitting, and compliance, coordinating with PMs and clients, and delivering high-quality, safe projects. Requires 10+ years experience and PE license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 10+ years of post-education experience in electrical engineering for power generation, transmission, and distribution.
• PE license required (multi-state preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee multi-site design and construction of substations and related infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with IEEE, NESC, ANSI, NERC, and related standards.
• Lead project budgets, schedules, and coordination with clients and subcontractors.
