WSP USA is seeking a Lead Substation Project Engineer for our San Diego, CA office. The role involves leading complex substation designs, managing project execution, and mentoring junior staff in a fast-paced environment.

Hybrid or in-office work is preferred, with remote consideration for experienced candidates. You will collaborate with the Power Delivery Substation Team to deliver transmission and distribution projects, ensure codes and standards compliance, perform electrical calculations,

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Engineer license required with 7–10 years of post-education experience.
• Experience with power generation, transmission, and distribution projects.
• Strong knowledge of codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects.

Aufgaben

• Lead electrical infrastructure design reviews for substations.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for projects.
• Coordinate with owners, sub-consultants, and clients.
• Mentor junior staff and supervise cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with IEEE, NESC, ANSI, NERC standards.
