Job summary

You will collaborate with engineers, verify calculations, ensure regulatory compliance, and prepare multiple design versions for review. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Minimum 5 years of post-education drafting and design support experience.
• Familiar with drafting and design support principles and techniques.
• Familiar with codes, regulations, and compliance practices.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze site data, surveys, blueprints and diagrams to support drafting.
• Use 3D CAD software with engineers to prepare precise drawings.
• Provide design assistance ensuring fit, form, and function per specs.
• Verify calculations and interpret plans, escalating discrepancies as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project phases and tasks.
• Ensure plans comply with city, state and federal regulations.
• Prepare multiple design versions for review by engineers.
• Define dimensions, materials, and procedures per contract requirements.
