Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking a senior engineer to lead substation projects on a W-2 contract basis. The role involves directing a team of engineers, applying established engineering principles, and traveling between worksites while spending time at field sites or meetings.

You will report to the Project Engineer Manager and may work remotely with travel expenses reimbursed. A PE credential and relevant degree are required, with 6+ years in high‑voltage substation design.

Qualifications

• Certified Professional Engineer (PE).
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil/Structural engineering.
• 6+ years' experience in Substation design and engineering of High Voltage substation projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and complete large-scale or several medium or small, complex, or long-term project(s) within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.
• Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status report.
• Identify challenges, measures, and validate results, and implement solutions.
• Provide information to internal and external clients on moderate to complex issues.
• Create and communicate presentation materials for report out and updates with different levels of all partners.
• Train external engineers of record on all assigned substation projects and ensure compliance with interconnection agreements and industry codes.
