Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Lead Substation Engineer to join our Energy practice in a remote role based anywhere in the United States. You will lead the design and delivery of utility-scale substation projects, working with utilities, renewable energy developers, and industrial clients.

This position requires a PE license, a BS in Electrical Engineering, and 10+ years of experience with transmission and distribution substation design, protection and control, grounding, and project leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
10+ years of experience in transmission and distribution substation projects.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering tasks and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality work on schedule and within budget.
Provide technical oversight for substation upgrades, expansions, brownfield modifications, and greenfield projects.
Mentor engineers and designers while supporting technical development and knowledge sharing.
