Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Substation Electrical Drafting Coordinator to join our Power & Energy team in Lakewood, CO.

The role focuses on providing technical design and CADD support, developing drawings for transmission and distribution substations, and delivering accurate design deliverables. You will work with engineers and project teams to resolve design questions, prepare plans and material lists, and ensure compliance with city, state, and federal codes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 3+ years of drafting/design experience.
• Experience with 2D/3D CADD software.
• Familiar with codes and standards relevant to substation projects.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently or in a team and adhere to safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical design and CADD support for substation projects.
• Produce design deliverables: plans, profiles, sections, details, and material lists.
• Collaborate with engineers to resolve design questions and incorporate markups.
• Prepare drawings with accuracy for basic to moderate complexity.
• Ensure designs adhere to applicable codes and project specifications.
• Assist with data collection from surveys, blueprints, and sketches.
