Job summary

BluePoint Engineering (BPE) is seeking a Substation Civil/Structural Engineer to join our growing team. You will lead substation civil design efforts, develop project plans, construction specs, and provide field support while mentoring junior staff.

The role requires experience in foundation and steel/concrete design, proficiency with the listed software, and the ability to work in an autonomous, deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Substation design experience is a plus.
• PE license or ability to obtain licensure.
• Experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Background in steel and concrete structural design, geotechnical engineering, and foundations.
• Experience reviewing substation structure design and related foundations.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic direction to engineers, designers and drafters to complete substation civil design including permitting support and site design.
• Prepare cost estimates and engineering proposals.
• Develop substation project plans and construction specifications.
• Provide field support for engineering and technical questions.
• Stay current on emerging technologies.
• Lead design reviews of civil/structural designs and develop junior staff.
