Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Lead Subcontracts Specialist to manage the end-to-end FAR15 subcontract lifecycle for key programs. You will work with the Mechanical Assemblies Government Sourcing team, from proposal through to subcontracts or long-term purchase orders, delivering compliant FAR15 packages to Government bodies.

The role reports to the Director of Strategic Sourcing, with on-site work during the initial 90 days and a hybrid schedule thereafter.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, L&C, Business, or Finance.
• Subcontracting experience (FAR15).
• Experience with Federal Acquisitions Regulations and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations.
• Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and people-oriented skills.
• Strong negotiation skills and processes.

Responsibilities

• Execute FAR15 subcontracts IAW FAR, DFARS and applicable regulations.
• Build strong negotiation positions for contract execution.
• Manage key program suppliers.
• Build supplier strategies to enable best overall value to Honeywell.
• Execute quick-react requirements identified by the program team in accordance with supply chain management direction.
• Respond to data calls and support all internal and external audit activities.
• Maintain an awareness of regulatory changes and their impact on subcontract.
• Engage in regular communications with subcontractors; communicate supplier status during sustainment and supply chain meetings.
• Recognize and communicate subcontract issues; collaborate with Project Managers and Sourcing Team; facilitate meetings with subcontractors to ensure areas of concern are being addressed and performance issues resolved.
• Prepare, analyze, and evaluate bids and proposals to ensure they are compliant with company policy, program requirements and department operating procedures.
• Provide leadership in the evaluation of single/sole source proposals as well as during competitive source evaluation and selection process.

THE POSITION

This position will lead the end-to-end cycle of FAR15 proposals and subcontracts supporting key Honeywell Aerospace programs. The selected candidate will support the Mechanical Assemblies Government Sourcing team. Starting with proposal, fulfillment of the sales order, and ending with negotiating subcontracts or long-term purchase orders. The Lead Subcontracts Specialist will deliver compliant FAR15 packages to the Government, work closely with the Pricing organization, and negotiate with suppliers to get FAR15 compliant subcontracts in place.

You will report directly to our Director of Strategic Sourcing on a hybrid work schedule. New hires will be onsite for the first 90 days per policy.

U.S. PERSONS REQUIREMENTS

Due to US export control laws, candidates must be U.S. citizen, perm resident, protected status under asylum/refugee, OR can obtain export approval.
