Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Lead Subcontracts Specialist to drive end-to-end FAR15 proposals and subcontract activities for government programs. You will support the Mechanical Assemblies Government Sourcing team, starting with proposals and ending with negotiations of subcontracts or long-term purchase orders.

You will report to the Director of Strategic Sourcing on a hybrid schedule, with onsite work required for the first 90 days per policy at select sites including Glendale, AZ.

Qualifications

• FAR15 knowledge and DFARS familiarity are required.
• Experience negotiating and executing subcontracts for government programs.
• Strong procurement and supplier management capabilities.

THE POSITION

This position will lead the end-to-end cycle of FAR15 proposals and subcontracts supporting key Honeywell Aerospace programs. The selected candidate will support the Mechanical Assemblies Government Sourcing team. Starting with proposal, fulfillment of the sales order, and ending with negotiating subcontracts or long-term purchase orders. The Lead Subcontracts Specialist will deliver compliant FAR15 packages to the Government, work closely with the Pricing organization, and negotiate with suppliers to get FAR15 compliant subcontracts in place. You will report directly to our Director of Strategic Sourcing on a hybrid work schedule. New hires will be onsite for the first 90 days per policy.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute FAR15 subcontracts IAW FAR, DFARS and applicable regulations
• Build strong negotiation positions for contract execution
• Manage key program suppliers
• Build supplier strategies to enable best overall value to Honeywell
• Execute quick-react requirements identified by the program team in accordance with supply chain management direction
• Respond to data calls and support all internal and external audit activitiesMaintain an awareness of regulatory changes and their impact on subcontract
• Engage in regular communications with subcontractors; communicate supplier status during sustainment and supply chain meetings
• Recognize and communicate subcontract issues; collaborate with Project Managers and Sourcing Team; facilitate meetings with subcontractors to ensure areas of concern are being addressed and performance issues resolved
• Prepare, analyze, and evaluate bids and proposals to ensure they are compliant with company policy, program requirements
