Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Structures Engineer in West Palm Beach, FL to lead structural analyses for cold-section hardware across military and commercial programs. Provide technical leadership in producibility, quality resolutions, and engineering changes, collaborating with IPTs and CIPTs. The role requires onsite work with 10–25% travel.

You will mentor engineers, drive technical tasks to completion, and present findings to stakeholders while supporting strategic objectives within ESTO.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8+ years experience, or an Advanced degree with 5 years.
Experience performing structural analyses using ANSYS or equivalent.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving technical tasks to completion.

Responsibilities

Execute and oversee structural analyses for Fan, LPC, HPC components across military and commercial programs.
Lead redesign and producibility improvement activities for cold-section hardware.
Coach and review work of less-experienced engineers to maintain quality.
Serve as engineering representative on cross-functional teams, driving root-cause investigations and resolutions.
Document analyses and present results to IPTs/CIPTs, management, customers and stakeholders.
