Job summary

Technibus, Inc. is seeking a Communications Technician II in the Los Angeles, CA area.

The role involves leading a crew of installers, coordinating daily workload, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards while performing cable installations, wiring, labeling, and testing. You will terminate jacks, mount face plates, build racks, perform continuity tests, and complete all required paperwork promptly.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in telecommunications or related technical field and ability to supervise others.
• Proficient with the listed tools.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including specifications, reporting and quality requirements.
• Know universal communications color codes.
• Meet company driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead small groups of installers and coordinate daily workload.
• Install outlets, mount face plates and surface mount boxes following standards.
• Perform testing, continuity checks and troubleshoot cables.
• Identify active voice or data circuits.
• Ensure timely completion of paperwork (timesheets, work orders, etc.).
• Adhere to safety and quality standards and regulations.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
