Job summary

Equiliem is seeking a Lead Structured Cabling Technician in Chino, CA. The role involves hands-on installation of structured cabling, fiber, WAPs, and related infrastructure, with leadership of crews on commercial projects.

The position requires 3+ years of experience in low voltage projects, CAT6/CAT6A and fiber installation, MDF/IDF buildouts, and safe operation of lifts; travel may be involved and overtime is expected based on project needs.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience leading low voltage projects.
Commercial construction experience with structured cabling.
Experience installing CAT6/CAT6A and fiber optic cabling.
Experience completing MDF/IDF buildouts.
Experience installing WAPs and access control.
Ability to operate scissor/boom lifts; clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Lead crews of two or more technicians on commercial low voltage projects.
Coordinate daily work activities, track progress, and communicate project needs.
Install, route, terminate, and label CAT6 and CAT6A cabling.
Install cable supports and pathways.
Install and terminate fiber optic cabling.
Complete MDF and IDF buildouts, including racks, cabinets, patch panels, and cable management.
Install wireless access points (WAPs).
Install access control systems according to project requirements.
Operate scissor lifts and boom lifts safely.
Maintain installation quality, follow project specifications, and comply with jobsite safety requirements.
