Job summary

Qualdoc in York, PA is seeking a Structural Steel Welding & Fitting Supervisor for the 2nd shift. You will lead a hands-on team, coordinating welding, fitting, production, materials, and shop activities while ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and quality.

The role requires structural steel fabrication experience and prior leadership overseeing welders and fitters, with a starting pay of $32/hour and a $3/hour shift differential for the 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• Structural steel fabrication experience is required.
• Leadership/foreman experience overseeing welders and fitters is required.
• Excellent spoken and written English is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise welders, fitters, and shop personnel.
• Coordinate daily fabrication and production activities.
• Oversee shop personnel, equipment, tools, and materials.
• Maintain production and fabrication schedules.
• Coordinate material and product deliveries.
• Develop and maintain standard fabrication procedures.
• Monitor product quality and enforce quality control procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, employee performance, and quality.
• Work with project management, logistics, purchasing, and other departments to meet project deadlines.
• Communicate product status and delivery needs with other departments.
• Maintain shop equipment and building areas.
• Develop relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with shift leadership and purchasing.
• Adjust work hours to support delivery schedules.
• Enforce company policies and support objectives.
