Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Structural Steel Welding & Fitting Supervisor on 2nd shift in York, PA. This hands-on supervisory role leads welders and fitters, coordinating welding, fitting, production, and shop activities while ensuring safety and quality.

Must have structural steel fabrication experience and prior leadership experience overseeing welders and fitters. The position offers direct hire status with starting pay of $32/hour plus a $3/hour second-shift differential.

Qualifications

• Must have structural steel fabrication industry experience.
• Must have leadership/foreman experience overseeing welders and fitters.
• Strong written and spoken English required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a second-shift team in structural steel fabrication.
• Coordinate welding, fitting, production, and shop activities.
• Maintain production and fabrication schedules and deadlines.
• Oversee shop personnel, equipment, tools, and materials.
• Communicate status, quality issues, and delivery needs to management and other departments.
• Develop and maintain standard fabrication procedures.
• Ensure safety, quality, and compliance with standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and quality.
