Job summary

Qualdoc seeks a Structural Steel Shop Foreman for the 2nd shift in York, PA. You will lead a team in a structural steel fabrication shop, coordinating fabrication activities to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Ideal candidates have foreman or leadership experience, strong English communication, and availability for 2nd shift, with starting pay of $32/hour plus a $3/hour shift differential.

Qualifications

• Structural steel fabrication industry experience required.
• Foreman, supervisor, or leadership experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and support shop employees during 2nd shift
• Oversee daily fabrication and production activities
• Manage shop personnel, equipment, tools, and materials
• Maintain and update production and fabrication schedules
• Coordinate deliveries and help maintain inventory levels
• Establish and follow standard fabrication procedures
• Monitor quality control and ensure products meet customer requirements
• Identify ways to improve productivity, efficiency, employee performance, and quality
• Coordinate with project management, logistics, purchasing, other departments, and fabrication facilities to meet project schedules
• Communicate product status, quality concerns, and delivery information as needed
• Maintain equipment and facility areas as required
• Work with vendors and suppliers to maintain effective working relationships
• Balance shop workload and communicate staffing or production needs to management
• Adjust work hours when necessary to support delivery schedules
• Make operational decisions in the best interest of the company
